The 120-Minute Breakdown: What to Expect

Curious about how much you can actually learn in two hours? Here is how we structure your session for maximum progression and fun:

1. Welcome & Gear Up (15 Minutes)

Arrive at the surf school, meet your coach, and get fitted for your wetsuit and board. We will do a quick assessment of your fitness level and any previous ocean experience.

2. Beach Theory & Warm-Up (25 Minutes)

Before getting wet, we head to the sand. You will learn:

- Ocean safety: How to read the waves, spot currents, and handle your board safely. - The pop-up: We will teach you the step-by-step technique to transition from lying down to standing up, practicing it on the beach until your muscle memory kicks in. - Paddling: How to position your body on the board for maximum speed with minimum effort.

3. Hitting the White Water (45 Minutes)

Time to get salty! We paddle out into the waist-deep white water (the rolling foam of broken waves). Your instructor will be right beside you, holding your board, timing the wave, and giving you the perfect push to help you stand up and feel the glide.

4. Feedback & Solo Attempts (25 Minutes)

After a quick breather, we head back in. Your instructor will correct your stance—whether you need to bend your knees more, look up, or adjust your feet. For the final part of the lesson, you will practice catching the white water on your own.
